Dr. Mozhgan Ashtari, a board-certified internal medicine physician, leads Enliven Medical Clinic in Laguna Hills, California. With a holistic approach to health, she combines physical, mental, and nutritional treatments to prevent chronic disease and enhance quality of life. Dr. Ashtari offers both medical and aesthetic services, believing that even simple aesthetic treatments can contribute to overall well-being.

After completing her residency in New York and a fellowship in geriatrics, Dr. Ashtari relocated to California in 2010. She worked with Hoag Medical Group before establishing her own practice. Known for her friendly demeanor, Dr. Ashtari builds great rapport with her patients while addressing all aspects of their health.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Ashtari enjoys southern California's outdoor lifestyle with her daughter, including hiking, attending concerts, and beach outings.

Shamim Karbakhsh, PA-C, DMSc, is a Certified Physician Assistant practicing internal medicine at Enliven Medical Clinic in Laguna Hills, California. Shamim is passionate about preventive care, chronic disease management, and helping patients improve their overall health and quality of life through compassionate, patient-centered care.

Shamim earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of California, Irvine, followed by a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Loma Linda University, and later completed a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) degree at Shenandoah University.

Known for a warm and approachable personality, Shamim values building strong relationships with patients and creating an environment where individuals feel heard, supported, and involved in their healthcare journey.

Outside of medicine, Shamim enjoys painting, traveling, music, and trying new restaurants with family and friends.
